When you confirm a booking, you are entering into a contract (which shall include these terms and conditions) with Salmon Landings, Port Ghrant Strahty Point.
Salmon Landings offers a standard room rate which includes bed & breakfast for a maximum of two people and prices are guaranteed once you have been given a confirmation number.
For the avoidance of doubt, the standard price does not include any incidental charges which you may incur during your stay. Such charges will be indentified at the time and payable by you on your departure and, in the event that you fail to pay any such incidental charges, it is a condition of your contract with Salmon Landings that you irrevocably authorise us to debit your credit or debit card for the amount of any shortfall.
DEPOSITS AND PRE-PAYMENTS
To secure your booking, we do require a non-refundable deposit of £25 per room per night to be paid, no later than four weeks prior arrival, or full payment must be made if booked within this time frame and at least three days prior arrival. If payment is not made, Salmon landing has the right to re-advertise the room. Payment can be made by debit or credit card and will be taken in accordance with the terms & conditions of your booking. In the event of cancellation, payment will be taken in accordance with our cancellation terms, (see CANCELLATIONS for details). A credit or debit card number will be required to guarantee the booking.
BALANCE OF MONIES OUTSTANDING
Salmon Landings accepts payment by cash, debit and credit cards (excluding American Express).
YOUR TIME AS OUR GUESTS
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
Your room will be ready for you from 4 pm, and the room must be vacated by 10.30 am on day of departure, unless a late check-out is agreed.
The standard maximum occupancy of your room is 2 people. Any discount for single occupancy is at the discretion of Salmon Landings.
Children from the ages of 11 to 16 years are welcome at Salmon Landings. However no additional beds are available and any child would need to stay in the superking bed provided as standard in each suite.
We regret that for health and safety reasons, children under the age of eleven are not permitted to stay at Salmon Landings.
GUESTS WITH IMPAIRED MOBILITY
Salmon Landings does not have modified facilities for guests with impaired mobility, but does have ground floor rooms with walk-in showers available.
We are sorry but we do not permit pets to stay at Salmon Landings. Guide or Assistance dogs are of course, most welcome.
Salmon Landings and its grounds are strictly NO SMOKING. If this very strict rule is ignored within the house there is a minimum £100 deep cleansing charge, or whatever is required to reinstate the property.
Your rate includes a full traditional or continental breakfast with tea or coffee and fruit juices. Should you have special dietary requirements, please inform us of these at the time of your booking.
Whilst every effort is made to fulfil any particular requests which you may make in relation to your stay with us, please note that these requests do not form part of our contract and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests.
All promotional offers are subject to availability and no cash alternatives are available.
WHEN IT DOESN’T GO ACCORDING TO PLAN
Cancellation by you
If you have to cancel a reservation it is in your interest to notify us immediately by telephone or email. In the event of a cancellation, costs will be incurred as follows:
* More than 14 days before your booking commences your deposit will be forfeited.
* Less than 14 days you will be liable to pay the full cost of your booking, the balance shall be charged to the debit/credit card you used to pay for the deposit.
If you plan to re-book a stay with us, we will be happy to put any costs you incur towards a future non-transferable booking, if your stay is within 12 months of your cancellation date.
Please note: It is advisable to take out travel insurance to cover any costs that you may incur in the event of a cancellation.
Cancellation by us
Each booking is made in good faith with the belief that the room will be available on the date stated. If for any reason (due to circumstances beyond our control) the room is not available, we are unable to guarantee provision of alternative accommodation. In the event of this happening the deposit and any monies paid by you will be refunded in full. The guest will have no further claim against Salmon Landings.
REPAIRS TO THE ROOM
Occasionally due to damage or wear and tear an item of equipment may not be working. We will do our utmost to repair it as quickly as possible. However due to the remoteness of Salmon Landings this can sometimes take a little longer than you might usually expect.
VEHICLES AND PERSONAL PROPERTY
Vehicles, accessories and contents are left at their owner’s risk.
Salmon Landings will not be held responsible for any loss or damage/loss to personal property or any injury to persons whilst staying/visiting Salmon Landings.
Any damages must be reported prior to departure and will be charged in full.
We reserve the right to remove a person or persons from Salmon Landings due to unreasonable behaviour, creating damage to the property or exceeding the stated occupancy and any refund will be at the discretion of Salmon Landings.
Salmon Landings shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.
As well as cancellation and curtailment insurance, guests are recommended to take out holiday insurance to cover loss or damage to personal effects.
Despite the required contents of the above Salmon Landing and the owners will endeavour to ensure your stay is enjoyable and memorable to welcome you back in the future.
